GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS – INTERVENTIE EVENTS
Article 1 – Definitions
1.1 In these General Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:
Interventie Events: the event organiser operating under the trade name Interventie Events, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 90559177.
Organiser: Interventie Events and, where expressly stated for a specific Event, any co-organiser.
Visitor: any natural person who purchases, obtains or uses a Ticket and/or attends an Event.
Event: any event, party, festival, club night or other gathering organised wholly or partly by Interventie Events.
Ticket: any physical or digital admission ticket granting access to an Event.
Ticket Platform: the external ticketing provider appointed by Interventie Events through which Tickets are sold, processed or issued.
Venue: the location at which the Event takes place.
Website: interventie-events.nl and any other official websites or ticket pages used by Interventie Events.
House Rules: the general and/or Event-specific rules of Interventie Events and the Venue.
Article 2 – Applicability
2.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase and use of Tickets, attendance at Events organised by Interventie Events and all related agreements between Interventie Events and the Visitor.
2.2 These General Terms and Conditions will be made available electronically before or during the conclusion of the agreement in such a way that the Visitor can review and save them.
2.3 By purchasing or obtaining a Ticket and/or entering an Event, the Visitor confirms that they have taken notice of and agree to the applicable General Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
2.4 In addition to these General Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions of the Ticket Platform, Venue, locker provider, payment provider or other third parties involved in the Event may apply.
2.5 In the event of a conflict between these General Terms and Conditions and Event-specific conditions, the Event-specific conditions shall prevail insofar as they were clearly communicated to the Visitor before the purchase of the Ticket and insofar as permitted by law.
2.6 Mandatory consumer rights are not restricted by these General Terms and Conditions.
Article 3 – Agreement and Tickets
3.1 The agreement between Interventie Events and the Visitor is concluded once the Ticket order has been completed and payment has been successfully processed.
3.2 Tickets are generally sold through a Ticket Platform appointed by Interventie Events.
3.3 The processing of the order, payment, delivery and any additional services may also be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Ticket Platform.
3.4 The Visitor is responsible for providing accurate information when purchasing a Ticket.
3.5 The Visitor is responsible for securely storing the Ticket and its barcode, QR code or download link and must not publicly share these details.
3.6 A Ticket grants admission only to the first person who presents the valid Ticket at the entrance, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3.7 Interventie Events may cancel an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, system error, fraud, misuse, unauthorised trading or another evident error in the ordering process. If the Visitor is not responsible for the cancellation, any amount already paid will be refunded.
Article 4 – Final Ticket Sales, No Right of Withdrawal and No Refunds
4.1 ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. Once a Ticket has been purchased, it cannot be cancelled, exchanged, returned or refunded by the Visitor, except where Interventie Events expressly agrees otherwise or where a refund is required under mandatory applicable law.
4.2 A Ticket concerns a leisure service provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
4.3 Pursuant to Article 6:230p sub e of the Dutch Civil Code, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to the purchase of Tickets for Events taking place on a specific date or during a specific period.
4.4 No refund will be provided because of personal circumstances of the Visitor, including illness, injury, transport problems, missed public transport, traffic delays, work obligations, holidays, changed plans, double bookings, inability to attend, unwillingness to attend, failure to arrange transport or accommodation, purchasing the wrong Ticket or any other circumstance attributable to or concerning the Visitor.
4.5 The Visitor is responsible for checking the Event date, Event time, Venue, Ticket type, minimum age, entry requirements and other relevant Event information before completing the purchase.
4.6 Failure to attend the Event, for any reason attributable to the Visitor, does not entitle the Visitor to a refund, credit, replacement Ticket or compensation.
4.7 Refusal of entry or removal from the Event because the Visitor does not comply with these General Terms and Conditions, the House Rules, the minimum age requirement, identification requirements, security requirements or reasonable instructions from Interventie Events, Venue personnel or security staff does not entitle the Visitor to a refund.
4.8 If cancellation insurance, refund protection or a similar service was offered through the Ticket Platform and purchased by the Visitor, any claim must be made to the relevant insurance provider or service provider in accordance with its applicable terms and conditions.
4.9 Nothing in this Article excludes a refund or other remedy where such refund or remedy is mandatory under applicable law, including where the Event is fully cancelled or materially changed in circumstances in which the Visitor has a statutory right to reimbursement.
Article 5 – Resale and Transfer of Tickets
5.1 The commercial purchase, offering or resale of Tickets for the purpose of making a profit is prohibited.
5.2 Interventie Events may appoint one or more official resale platforms for an Event.
5.3 If an official resale platform has been appointed, Interventie Events may determine that resale is only permitted through that platform.
5.4 Interventie Events may impose conditions on resale, including a maximum resale price, a permitted resale period and a maximum number of Tickets per person.
5.5 Interventie Events may invalidate a Ticket that has demonstrably been obtained or offered in violation of this Article and may refuse admission, insofar as this is reasonable and legally permitted.
5.6 Interventie Events does not guarantee the validity of Tickets purchased through unofficial sales channels and is not liable for damage resulting from fraud, invalid Tickets or unauthorised resale.
Article 6 – Admission to the Event
6.1 A valid Ticket does not provide an unconditional right of admission. The Visitor must also comply with these General Terms and Conditions, the House Rules, applicable laws and regulations and reasonable instructions given by employees, security staff and Venue personnel.
6.2 Events organised by Interventie Events are generally accessible only to persons aged 18 or older, unless a different minimum age is expressly stated for the relevant Event.
6.3 The Visitor must be able to present a valid original identification document upon request.
6.4 If the Visitor does not meet the minimum age requirement or cannot present valid identification, admission may be refused without entitlement to a refund.
6.5 Interventie Events may determine a latest admission time for an Event. The Visitor is responsible for arriving on time.
6.6 If the doors have closed in accordance with information communicated in advance, admission may be refused without entitlement to a refund.
6.7 Unless expressly stated otherwise, the right of admission expires once the Visitor permanently leaves the Venue. Re-entry is only permitted when expressly allowed by Interventie Events or the Venue.
Article 7 – Security Checks
7.1 For the safety of Visitors, employees, artists and third parties, security checks may take place at the entrance or during the Event.
7.2 The Visitor may be requested to allow clothing, bags or other belongings to be checked.
7.3 If the Visitor refuses to cooperate with a reasonable security check, admission may be refused or the Visitor may be removed from the Event without entitlement to a refund.
7.4 CCTV may be used at the Venue for safety, access control, prevention of incidents and investigation of incidents.
7.5 CCTV is used in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and the privacy policies of Interventie Events and/or the Venue.
Article 8 – Conduct and Zero-Tolerance Policy
8.1 Every Visitor must behave respectfully towards other Visitors, employees, artists, suppliers, local residents and other persons present at or around the Event.
8.2 Interventie Events operates a zero-tolerance policy with regard to sexual harassment, sexually inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, racism, threats, intimidation, aggression, violence, theft, vandalism, dangerous behaviour and any other conduct that may affect the safety, freedom or wellbeing of others.
8.3 A Visitor who, in the reasonable opinion of Interventie Events, security staff or Venue personnel, engages in such behaviour may be removed from the Event immediately.
8.4 In the case of serious incidents, the police or other competent authorities may be contacted.
8.5 In the event of serious or repeated violations, Interventie Events may prohibit a Visitor from attending future Events, insofar as this is reasonable and legally permitted.
8.6 Removal due to a violation attributable to the Visitor does not entitle the Visitor to a refund.
Article 9 – Drugs, Alcohol and Prohibited Items
9.1 Visitors are not permitted to bring their own alcohol or illegal drugs into the Event.
9.2 The possession, sale, distribution or other prohibited use of substances covered by the Dutch Opium Act is prohibited.
9.3 A Visitor who is clearly under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances to such an extent that they create a safety risk or serious nuisance may be refused admission or removed from the Event.
9.4 Unless prior permission has been obtained, Visitors are prohibited from bringing weapons, items that can reasonably be used as weapons, knives, sharp or dangerous objects, fireworks, explosives, flammable substances, hazardous substances, nitrous oxide intended for recreational use, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, glassware, professional recording equipment, drones, lasers or other equipment presenting a safety risk, food and beverages except where medically necessary or expressly permitted, advertising materials, promotional materials and goods intended for sale without prior permission from Interventie Events.
9.5 Interventie Events and the Venue may designate additional prohibited items if required for safety reasons, Venue policy or applicable laws and regulations.
9.6 Medication that is reasonably necessary during the Event may be brought into the Venue. Interventie Events or security staff may request the original packaging and/or medical documentation if reasonably necessary to establish the nature or necessity of the medication.
9.7 Prohibited items may be refused, confiscated or transferred to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Article 10 – Phones, Cameras and Recordings by Visitors
10.1 Interventie Events may operate a no-phone policy, limited-phone policy or no-camera policy for an Event.
10.2 If such a policy applies, it will be communicated through Event information, at the entrance and/or at the Venue.
10.3 The Visitor is required to comply with the applicable policy.
10.4 Interventie Events may determine that mobile phone cameras must be covered, phones may not be used on the dance floor or photography and video recording are partially or entirely prohibited.
10.5 Using a phone in violation of the applicable no-phone policy may result in a warning and, in the event of repeated or serious violations, removal from the Event.
10.6 The use of a phone in an emergency remains permitted where reasonably necessary.
10.7 Professional photography, video recording, audio recording, livestreaming or any other professional recording of the Event is permitted only with prior written permission from Interventie Events.
10.8 Recordings made by Visitors may not be commercially exploited without permission where this would infringe copyright, neighbouring rights, trademark rights, portrait rights or other rights belonging to Interventie Events, artists or third parties.
10.9 Visitors must respect the privacy and rights of other persons when creating or publishing photographs, videos or other recordings.
Article 11 – Programme, Artists, Times and Venue
11.1 Interventie Events will make reasonable efforts to carry out the announced programme.
11.2 The announced line-up, timetable, stage allocation, opening hours or other programming may be changed.
11.3 The cancellation or replacement of one or more artists, a timetable change, a change in set duration or another non-material programme change does not generally entitle the Visitor to a refund provided that the Event itself still takes place.
11.4 Interventie Events may adjust the start time, end time, programme, layout or Venue where there is a reasonable need to do so.
11.5 If a change is sufficiently substantial that the Visitor is entitled to termination, reimbursement or another remedy under mandatory consumer law, those statutory rights remain fully applicable.
Article 12 – Force Majeure, Postponement and Cancellation
12.1 Force majeure means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Interventie Events as a result of which the Event cannot take place, cannot take place safely or cannot take place in the originally intended manner.
12.2 Force majeure may include extreme weather conditions, fire, power failures, serious technical failures, strikes, epidemics, pandemics, terrorist threats, war, serious civil unrest, government measures, decisions by competent authorities, withdrawal or restriction of necessary permits through no fault of Interventie Events, unforeseen safety risks, serious illness or absence of essential parties and other comparable circumstances reasonably beyond the control of Interventie Events.
12.3 In the event of force majeure, Interventie Events may, depending on the circumstances, modify, relocate, postpone or cancel the Event.
12.4 If an Event is postponed to a new date, the Ticket will in principle remain valid for the replacement date.
12.5 If an Event is materially postponed and the Visitor cannot or does not wish to attend the replacement date, Interventie Events will offer a refund insofar as the Visitor is legally entitled to one.
12.6 If an Event is cancelled entirely and no replacement date is offered, a Visitor who purchased a Ticket through Interventie Events or an officially appointed sales channel is entitled to reimbursement of the amount required under applicable consumer law, which will generally include the Ticket price and mandatory service fees paid as part of the Ticket purchase.
12.7 Interventie Events may voluntarily offer a replacement Ticket, voucher or another solution. This does not restrict the Visitor's statutory rights.
12.8 Costs relating to transport, accommodation, food, clothing, leave from work or other expenses incurred by the Visitor are generally at the Visitor's own expense unless Interventie Events is liable for such costs under mandatory law.
12.9 If an Event must be interrupted or terminated after it has started due to an emergency, force majeure or safety issue, any entitlement to a refund or compensation will be determined on the basis of applicable law and the circumstances of the case.
Article 13 – Photography, Video and Publication by Interventie Events
13.1 Photography, video recording, audio recording and other audiovisual recordings may take place during Events by or on behalf of Interventie Events.
13.2 By attending an Event, the Visitor acknowledges and accepts that photography and audiovisual recording may take place at the Venue and that the Visitor may appear incidentally in photographs, videos, aftermovies, crowd footage, atmosphere footage, social media content and other Event-related media.
13.3 Interventie Events may publish and use crowd footage, atmosphere footage and other Event recordings for promotional, commercial, editorial and communication purposes, including social media, websites, advertisements, paid advertising campaigns, promotional campaigns, trailers, teasers, aftermovies, press materials, presentations and other marketing activities, provided that such use complies with applicable privacy legislation, portrait rights and other mandatory law.
13.4 The Visitor acknowledges that general crowd scenes, atmosphere recordings and incidental appearances may be used and published without individual prior approval where Interventie Events has a valid legal basis for such processing and publication.
13.5 Attendance at the Event does not constitute an unlimited waiver of the Visitor's privacy rights, portrait rights or other statutory rights.
13.6 Where a Visitor is deliberately and individually portrayed as the principal subject of commercial or promotional material, rather than appearing incidentally as part of the Event, Interventie Events will assess whether consent or another appropriate legal basis is required before publication.
13.7 Interventie Events is entitled to edit, crop, format and combine Event recordings for the purposes described in this Article, provided that such processing is not unlawful, misleading or unnecessarily harmful to the person portrayed.
13.8 The Visitor is not entitled to financial compensation solely because they appear incidentally in lawful Event photography, crowd footage, atmosphere footage or similar Event-related content.
13.9 A Visitor who has a reasonable objection to the publication of specific identifiable footage may contact Interventie Events. Interventie Events will assess the request in accordance with applicable privacy and portrait-right legislation and, where legally required, remove or cease using the relevant material.
Article 14 – Lockers and Personal Belongings
14.1 The Visitor is responsible for personal belongings brought to the Event.
14.2 Interventie Events recommends storing valuable belongings in a locker where lockers are available.
14.3 Lockers may be provided by an external provider. The terms and conditions of that provider may apply.
14.4 Interventie Events is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless such damage results from an attributable failure by Interventie Events and liability cannot legally be excluded.
14.5 Found property may be transferred to the Venue, a lost-and-found service, the municipality, police or another designated organisation.
Article 15 – Liability
15.1 Attendance at an Event is at the Visitor's own risk to the extent permitted by law.
15.2 Interventie Events is only liable for damage suffered by the Visitor insofar as such damage is the direct result of an attributable failure by Interventie Events and liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15.3 Interventie Events is not liable for indirect damage, consequential loss, loss of income, missed opportunities or damage resulting from the actions of third parties, except insofar as liability cannot legally be excluded.
15.4 Interventie Events is not liable for hearing damage or other physical consequences resulting from exposure to loud music insofar as Interventie Events has taken measures that can reasonably be expected of an Event organiser.
15.5 Visitors are advised to use suitable hearing protection during Events.
15.6 Nothing in these General Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from intent or deliberate recklessness by Interventie Events or where exclusion or limitation of liability is otherwise prohibited by law.
Article 16 – Damage Caused by the Visitor
16.1 The Visitor is liable for damage caused by their actions to Interventie Events, the Venue, employees, artists, suppliers, other Visitors or third parties insofar as the Visitor is legally liable for such damage.
16.2 Costs resulting from vandalism, deliberate damage, theft or other unlawful conduct may be recovered from the responsible Visitor.
16.3 Interventie Events may report criminal conduct to the police.
Article 17 – Payments at the Event
17.1 Payments at the Event may take place using debit card, credit card, tokens, wristbands, cashless payment systems or another method designated by Interventie Events or the Venue.
17.2 The available payment methods may differ per Event.
17.3 Terms and conditions of third-party payment providers may apply.
17.4 Any refund arrangements relating to unused tokens, balances or cashless credits will be communicated separately where applicable.
Article 18 – Merchandise
18.1 Merchandise purchased at an Event or through an online store may be subject to separate terms and conditions.
18.2 Statutory consumer rights regarding defective products remain applicable.
18.3 For products purchased online, statutory withdrawal rights may apply where the relevant statutory requirements are met.
Article 19 – Privacy
19.1 Interventie Events processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, Dutch privacy legislation and its applicable privacy policy.
19.2 Personal data may be processed for purposes including Ticket sales, access control, communication, security, customer service, fraud prevention, administration and marketing where legally permitted.
19.3 Where personal data is processed by an external Ticket Platform or another service provider, that party's privacy policy may also apply.
Article 20 – Accessibility and Medical Circumstances
20.1 Visitors who require specific accessibility arrangements are encouraged to contact Interventie Events in advance.
20.2 Interventie Events will make reasonable efforts to accommodate accessibility needs but cannot guarantee that every Venue or Event can accommodate every specific request.
20.3 Visitors with a medical condition that may require special arrangements during an Event are responsible for informing Interventie Events in advance where this is reasonably necessary.
20.4 In an emergency, Interventie Events, Venue personnel, security staff or first-aid personnel may take measures reasonably required to protect the Visitor or others.
Article 21 – Complaints
21.1 Complaints relating to the Event should preferably be reported during the Event so that Interventie Events has an opportunity to address the issue.
21.2 Complaints that cannot reasonably be resolved during the Event may be submitted to Interventie Events after the Event.
21.3 The Visitor should provide sufficient information for Interventie Events to investigate the complaint, including the relevant Event, date, circumstances and, where applicable, the Ticket order details.
Article 22 – Amendments to these General Terms and Conditions
22.1 Interventie Events may amend these General Terms and Conditions from time to time.
22.2 The version applicable at the time the Ticket was purchased will in principle apply to that Ticket, unless a later amendment is required by law or concerns a non-material procedural or operational change that does not adversely affect the Visitor's rights.
22.3 The most recent version of these General Terms and Conditions will be published through the official channels of Interventie Events.
Article 23 – Severability
23.1 If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in force.
23.2 The invalid or unenforceable provision will, where possible, be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the purpose and effect of the original provision.
Article 24 – Applicable Law and Disputes
24.1 These General Terms and Conditions and all agreements between Interventie Events and the Visitor are governed by Dutch law.
24.2 Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent court in accordance with applicable Dutch procedural and consumer law.
24.3 If the Visitor is a consumer, nothing in this Article deprives the Visitor of any mandatory jurisdictional protection to which the Visitor is entitled.
